P&H - Leo MV

The Leo MV sits in the same sweet spot in the P&H lineup as its larger sibling, drawing on the design heritage of both the Scorpio and Virgo to deliver a versatile, comfortable cruising sea kayak for a wide range of paddlers. At just under 16 feet with a 56 cm beam, the mid-volume version offers the same capable, well-featured hull in a slightly narrower fit that suits a broader range of body types.

Primary stability is confident and reassuring, transitioning naturally into solid secondary stability when the water gets lively. Moderate rocker keeps the Leo MV manoeuvrable in surf and responsive on longer coastal journeys, and the spacious cockpit makes extended days on Canadian lakes and waterways comfortable rather than something to push through. Three hatches come standard with a bow mini hatch included on the CoreLite X build and available as an option on MZ3, covering everything from day paddles to overnight adventures with room to spare.

A compass recess, split paddle recesses, full deck lines and bungees, and optional Silva 70P compass and sail system make this one of the most completely equipped polyethylene cruising kayaks at its price point. Choose MZ3 for proven durability and value, or CoreLite X for a stiffer, lighter, more responsive hull with Skudder compatibility.
